  • 2022 Awards Nominations

    The Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce will be honoring three categories at its Annual Banquet on Friday, March 4th: Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Community Organization of the Year. Please read the descriptions of each category and nominate an individual, organization, or business that is most deserving. Your nomination should include the name of the nominee and a couple of paragraphs as why you think they are deserving. You may nominate for each category or just one. Only members of the Chamber are eligible. To search for a member, go to www.hartfordsdchamber.org/list. Submissions are due by February 18th.

    Owning or managing a business comes with many responsibilities, expectations, and challenges. In a community, one of the expectations and responsibility comes in the form of giving. Our society has a storied history of businesses that have left significant impacts in the community, region, and country through their generous giving, philanthropy, and corporate responsibility. The Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce would like to honor a business from its membership that has exemplified qualities that are synonymous with strong leadership, philanthropy, community support, and a general pro-business attitude.
    Volunteering is a key aspect of being a member of a community and it is imperative for the healthiness of the community. Strong volunteers yield positive results through their efforts and philosophy. Our Chamber of Commerce relies on volunteers to run many of its programs, many of which are successful solely due to volunteers. The Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce is looking to honor one person from its membership that is an exemplary volunteer in the community. This individual showcases excellence, community, and service through their volunteerism both in Hartford, the Chamber, and the surrounding area.
    Community Organizations are important to the overall strength of a community. These organizations feed the hungry, give back to those in need, organize events, plan for the future, and do number of different items. The Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce would like to honor one Community Organization from its membership that has significantly impacted the Hartford area in 2021.
