Hartford Chamber Works to Fill Employer's Needs

With a historically low unemployment rate, the hot topic around the Sioux Falls area right now is workforce. While a low unemployment rate is generally positive, it has created challenges in our region. Employers are facing a workforce shortage with many jobs going unfilled. Even here in Hartford it doesn’t take more than a quick drive around town to see “help wanted” signs posted at many of our businesses. The Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce works to support its member’s needs, including their growing needs for more employees. Businesses in Hartford are looking to expand their workforce or fill current positions. Wouldn’t it be great if you could live AND work in Hartford? That is why the Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its fall job fair on Thursday, September 14th. Come to the Hartford Plaza Event Center (Suite D, 100 W. Hwy 38) from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm and see if there is a career there waiting for you. Businesses like Central States Manufacturing, Travis Electric, and more will be there to talk to you! For more information go to www.hartfordsdchamber.org or call the office at 605-528-3338. The Chamber also occasionally has its member’s job postings listed online. Take a look around our website and check back for what could be your next job!
